Silver Kalevala Männyt Hoop Earrings

The sculptural Kalevala Männyt earrings combine the mysticism of Finnish nature with modern, innovative design. The jewelry series created by jewelry designer Ildar Wafin is inspired by the pine trees that grow in the Finnish archipelago, their rugged beauty and toughness. The sculptural design of the jewelry repeats the way the pine tree grows: as the direction of the light and the angle of view change, the shape of the jewelry also changes. The Männyt jewelry series tells the story of the power and beauty of Finnish nature and the importance of traditional craftsmanship.

The silver Männyt earrings are a striking accessory, but because of the hollow structure they are pleasantly light to wear. The smooth undulating surface of the earring is contrasted by a jagged structure on one side of the earring. The earrings are mirror images of each other and you can wear the earring in two ways: with the jagged surface visible or hidden, depending on which ear you wear the earring on. The earring is hinged and the pin of the jewelry attaches to the silicone plug inside the earring. The silver Männyt jewelry series includes several different jewelry models and they are handcrafted in Kalevala's own factory in Helsinki.
